Wairarapa Water’s aim is to develop infrastructure-based climate change solutions that build and deliver a resilient and vibrant future for the Wairarapa. We are currently working on the Wakamoekau Community Water Storage Scheme (WCWSS). Wakamoekau is about doing water storage in a different way. By different, we mean sustainable water storage that delivers positive outcomes to the whole community. It is about building a vibrant and resilient Wairarapa community for generations to come. In doing so carefully balancing the cultural, social, environmental and economic needs of our region - where all parts are equally important as the others.
